Best Upscale Small Car
For those of you looking for the best upscale compact car then check out the Buick Verano. The interior is well made and high quality to let you drive in comfort and style. It also offers up an impressive amount of trunk space for its class. The engine has a smooth transmission and the cabin is a nice, quiet ride. Features include rearview camera, touch screen infotainment system, Bluetooth and USB port. The base engine is somewhat underpowered so it is recommended you upgrade to the turbocharged version and the handling is a bit uninspiring but otherwise it is a good car for your money. The base engine is a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine with 180hp and gets 21/32 mpg.
Best Upscale Midsized Car
Buick continues to make our list in this category with the Buick Regal. The Regal has well composed and balanced handling that make for a smooth driving experience. Another advantage is that it comes with several engine packages that range from hybrid to gas/ethanol. The interior is stylish and consists of high quality materials. The hybrid eAssist also get great gas mileage, though it does take up some trunk space. It also comes with a nice range of standard features that include leather, heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. Upgrades include moonroof, navigation and push-button start.
Best Upscale Compact SUV
The first BMW to make our list, the BMW X1 is an all-around great SUV. It offers up the slick style and superior design you would expect from the famous car maker. The interior is made of high quality materials and the seats are comfortable. It has sharp handling and is overall fun to drive. For its class it gets good fuel economy. Standard features include Bluetooth, USB port and HD radio. Upgrades include navigation, heated front seats and satellite radio. The two higher end models come with all-wheel drive. There are two different engine kits but the base is a turbocharged 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder engine that gets 24/34 mpg.
