The Ford Motor Company displayed the new hatchback the Ford Fiesta ST but would launch it in the market in the year 2013.
The Fiesta ST has a 1.6 litre ecoboost engine and has a six speed manual transmission.
It comes with a 178hp and 177lb-feet of torque towards the front wheel.
The engineers claim that the Fiesta ST would , in less than seven seconds hit a speed of 62 mph and a high speed of 210 mph.
The ecoboost gives a reduction of 20 percent in the carbon dioxide emission as that to the Fiesta model which was launched earlier and disappeared way back in 2008. It only
launched a few cars in Europe and did not make to the rest of the world.
The chassis is tunes specially and is 15 mm lower than the normal Fiesta .
The Ford company has enhanced and improved the Vector Control System too.
It also has shown the 3 Electronic Stability control modes.
The performance of the new Fiesta ST will make sure to take Ford Fiesta to a different level.
To give it a nice, sophisticated new look the body kit has also been changed. The ford engineers claim to give it a more attractive look by changing a few exterior features. The mesh grille , the side skirts , the roof spoiler , the rear and the lower front fascias are the few new features in the Fiesta ST.
For the interiors the seats have inserts of the body color. A contrast look inside gives a very sporting feel to the driver. The seats are the Recaro sports seat with the contrast of the body color .The sync voice recognition is also there which is a super Ford feature..
An interesting safety feature in the car is the MyKey. This allows the person who owns the car to activate the safety features and limit the performance for someone who is new to driving.
This new Ford Fiesta ST has been engineered and developed by the RS Ford Team and keeping in mind the performance of the car DNA. The aim of the team at Ford has been to introduce cars with style and good road performance and good mileage. The Ford Fiesta ST is a typical car for everyday use for the office and the basic errands. The Fiesta ST with the various changes joins the Ford Focus segment , which allow the company to make more small cars with good performance .
The manufacturers have shown the two door version of the fiesta ST which might not be a great success in America. But seeing the good response to this model the manufacturers are ready to get the five door Fiesta to the American market.
