As you begin your search for a BMW 6 Series, one of your main goals should be finding a car that is still in great condition.

You may be able to pay slightly less up front for one that is not in good condition, but, rest assured, that money will be spent eventually.

The car will break down more often and will have defects when you buy it that you’re keen to fix. In the end, you may end up spending more than if you had bought a vehicle that was in good condition to begin with.

Buy Cars that Have Been Leased

First, you may want to consider buying a car that was previously owned by someone who had a lease. Doing this ensures that the car will not have too many miles on it. Most leases are set up with mileage stipulations, which tend to run right around 10,000 miles per year. If people go over, they have to pay a set rate for each extra mile that they have driven. Since they do not want this fee to be charged at the end, they will not drive the car as much as someone who can put unlimited miles on it in the two or three years that they own it.

Find Garage Cars

One of my main resources is Parkers and you can visit their site by clicking here. In addition, you may also want to look for cars that have been kept in the garage for most of the time that they were owned. For example, some elderly drivers will own cars for those few times that they need them, but they will not realistically take them out more than once a week. This vastly decreases the amount of wear and tear on the car and helps to keep the mileage low. If you can buy a car that was used in this fashion, it may be worth it since it will likely be in better shape than some newer vehicles.

Buy Dealer Demo Cars

Most dealerships will have demo cars that they let people drive if they want to come in for a test drive. These cars will then be sold at a discounted rate. This is a great way to get a vehicle for a lower price, without taking the risk that it has been in an accident or that there are significant issues with the car that the seller is trying to hide.
